Adeola is a Partner in Udo Udoma & Belo-Osagie’s Banking and Finance, Power, Project, and Infrastructure practice groups and also heads the firm’s Compliance and Investigation team. With over two decades of experience, she has developed extensive expertise across a broad spectrum of legal matters, including crossborder lending, syndicated lending, non-interest finance, debt restructuring, and financing complex power, manufacturing, and infrastructure projects in Nigeria.
Adeola leads legal teams advising local and international banks, corporate organisations, regional and global energy companies, development finance institutions, and private equity funds. Her advisory work spans diverse projects involving oil and gas assets, port development, road infrastructure, power generation facilities, renewable energy, steel mills, cement plants, and real estate development.
Adeola has received consistent recognition for her outstanding contributions to the legal profession. She is ranked by Chambers & Partners as a Notable Practitioner in Banking and Finance and Projects and Energy, with clients describing her as “bringing exceptional leadership and expertise in Nigerian law, particularly in handling complex cross-border issues.” She has also been consistently ranked by IFLR1000 as a Women Leader, a distinction reserved for exceptional women lawyers globally, and as a Highly Regarded Lawyer for her work in Banking and Finance and Project Development.

Work Highlights
Led the team that acted as Nigerian Counsel to Standard Bank Group in connection with a senior debt facility of up to US$350 million to CrossBoundary Energy for investments in renewable energy projects across Africa. This transaction was recognised as Deal of the Year: Loans at the 2025 IFLR Africa Awards.
Led the team that acted as Nigerian Counsel to Qatar Islamic Bank on the provision of a US$500 million Murabaha Facility to Shoreline Natural Resources Limited in connection with OML30. This transaction was recognised by Islamic Finance News (IFN) as Cross-Border Deal of the Year 2025.
Led the team that acted as Nigerian Counsel to Greenlight Planet Sun King Nigeria Limited in connection with a naira-denominated senior debt facility in the US dollar equivalent of approximately US$80 million. The facility was provided by the International Finance Corporation, in its capacity as implementing entity of the Renewable Energy Program for Africa, alongside Stanbic IBTC Bank Limited.
Advised Seplat Energy PLC on the Nigerian law aspects of a US$1.283 billion–US$1.583 billion financing for the acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited, the holder of a 40% operated interest in Oil Mining Leases 67, 68, 70, and 104, together with associated infrastructure and assets.
Leads the team advising Echosys Invest (Fund Adviser to Afrigreen Debt Impact Fund) on multiple senior secured debt financings for key renewable energy companies in Nigeria and across Africa.
