Career
Ademir Pereira is a co-head of the antitrust/competition practice at Del Chiaro Pereira. With over 15 years of antitrust/competition practice, his experience comprises the entire range of antitrust issues - merger review, cartel investigations and several landmark unilateral conduct cases. Ademir is regular antitrust counsel to major international companies such as Google, ArcelorMittal, Mondelez, Ericsson, Kimberly-Clark, Gilead Sciences, Lundbeck, Volkswagen.
He has represented clients in the most relevant cases in the digital economy and matters that shaped the interface between IP and Antitrust. In addition, Ademir has extensive experience with cases in industries like pharmaceutical, financial/payments, consumer products, steel, infrastructure and automotive. He is currently advising clients in various cases in Brazil and across LATAM jurisdictions.
For the past 12 years, Ademir has been consistently nominated as one of Brazil´s top antitrust attorneys by Chambers Latin America (Band 2), Legal 500 (“next generation partner”), Analise 500 (“most admired” in antitrust, technology, automotive, logistics, mining and steel) and Who’s Who Legal (“Though Leader – Global Elite”). In 2023 and 2025, he won the Legal500 Awards as “Lawyer of the Year – Competition/Antitrust”. In 2021, he was shortlisted for the Global Competition Review Awards as “Lawyer of the Year (under 40)”. From 2020-2024, Ademir featured in the prestigious list “40 Under 40”, published by Global Competition Review to honor the 40 best competition lawyers in the word under 40 years of age. Ademir has published several papers in Brazilian and international legal publications and has co-authored books on competition law, IP and antitrust, internet regulation and financial regulation.
