Winter & Co is a specialist maritime firm established in August 2022 following the demerger of Winter Scott LLP. With Glenn Winter as Senior Partner, it is a dynamic mix of first-class lawyers and mariners (including Ken Scott as a Consultant) with a great wealth of knowledge and experience.

The firm's mission is not only to provide Clients with an outstanding service, but also to ensure that it does so at exceptional value, in a timely manner (urgent advices are a particular speciality) and with a practical approach that meets its Clients’ commercial needs.

Although only recently established, many of the firm's Clients have instructed its lawyers for years and come from all areas of the shipping industry, including P&I Clubs, other marine insurers, major Shipowners and Charterers, Cargo Interests, Salvors and Oil Majors.

Main Areas of Practice:
Winter & Co advises on all aspects of maritime law including Charterparties, Bills of Lading, shipbuilding contracts, MoAs, insurance contracts and salvage. Its lawyers are experienced in arbitration and Court proceedings as well as ADR (particularly mediations) and have been involved in numerous high-profile cases including The Starsin, The Ocean Victory, The Erika and The Hoegh Osaka.

The Firm's Charity:
Winter & Co supports the Charlotte Children’s Village, officially named Charlotte Baby Home, a British registered charity (no. 1127192) which is located in Adjumani, Uganda and home to more than 70 abandoned and orphaned South Sudanese children.
