PRINCIPAL AREAS OF WORK
Personal Injury:
Thompsons Scotland specialises in personal injury compensation claims, helping clients who have suffered injuries in road traffic accidents, accidents at work and industrial diseases. Thompsons was founded on the idea that victims of negligence should receive the fair amount of compensation they deserve, and all Thompsons work is based on this core belief. As one of Scotland’s largest personal injury firms, Thompsons have helped the innocent victims involved in some of the country’s most devastating tragedies over the last few decades, such as the Lockerbie disaster and the Piper Alpha explosion. More recently, the firm has helped the families of victims in the sinking of the Flying Phantom on the River Clyde, the Stockline Plastics factory explosion, and the helicopter crash at the Clutha pub.

Thompsons’ highly experienced personal injury team provide advice in all areas of personal injury law and is led by eight partners: Andrew Henderson (Solicitor Advocate), Glen Millar (Solicitor Advocate), Patrick McGuire (Solicitor Advocate), Wendy Durie, Derek McLean, Jayne Crawford, Seonaid Brophy and Alan Rodgers.
