In 2024, our firm played a pivotal role advisingin structural transactions for West African economies ranging from natural ressources, energy and infrastructure and banking sectors. Recent involvements include advising China BaoSteel Group in the world largest mining transaction, the Simandou project, in connection with the Simandou integrated iron ore and infrastructure project. This project, with an estimated value of US$15 billion, encompasses financial structuring across multiple jurisdictions. The project contemplates the co-development of a 650 km railway and a deep-water port. This is the largest integrated mining and infrastructure project on the continent.
