Main Areas of Practice:

General Corporate Advice:
The firm assists companies to settle their activities in Côte d’Ivoire with a very detail oriented goal: helping the company with legal secretary (drafting of board meetings, shareholders resolution etc) and also day-to-day advice on the legal aspect of their activities. It can include compliance with the specific regulations of the activity sector, labour law and human resources matters etc. For instance the firm is regularly advising the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM).

Mergers & Acquisitions:
Limited or extended due diligences are conducted upon request to help in the M&A operations. The firm is well experienced in M&A involving listed companies. IKT law firm has assisted a Moroccan insurance company in taking stakes in companies operating in the medical field. The firm is currently assisting an industrial and agriculture company in the opening of its share capital to attract investors including a private equity fund, in its extension project.

Structured Financing, Security:
IKT law firm has got an extended experience in advising local or international finance institutions on finance operations regarding development or industrial projects. The firm has been involved in the financing transaction of the Radisson Blu of Abidjan built next to the Abidjan International Airport. Such assistance implies assisting in the drafting of the term sheet, the finance documents and especially the security package and drafting a legal opinion on the capacity of the borrower and enforceability of the agreement. IKT also provides assistance to private equity funds and asset management companies.
