SCM has been at the forefront of Myanmar’s legal and economic transition, advising on investments, projects and the reform process itself. They practice Myanmar, English and Australian laws and the diverse Partner team has global law firm backgrounds and over 30 years of combined experience in Myanmar.
SCM handles all areas of Myanmar commercial law. Having supported the Government of Myanmar with the drafting and implementation of the new Companies Law and Investment Law frameworks, the team is able to structure and execute projects and transactions with an inside knowledge few can match.
SCM’s Partners have completed transactions in almost all sectors, with particular depth in the telecommunications, financial services, infrastructure, real estate, consumer goods and manufacturing sectors.
