    The firm was founded in 1980 as a specialist in the field of labour and employment law. Since then, Sagardoy Abogados has developed a wide range of legal services in Spain. Juan Antonio is the honorary chairman and Iñigo Sagardoy is the chairman. Together with 20 other partners, they lead a team of over 50 lawyers across Spain (Madrid, Barcelona ,Bilbao, Las Palmas, Seville and Málaga). The firm has led important litigious cases in Spain, relating mainly to works councils, pension funds, collective bargaining agreements and salary matters. Furthermore, the firm has prepared strategic corporate restructuring plans and followed them through, including corporate labour audits, especially in connection with mergers and takeovers.
