The firm advises and assists on transactions, drafts and negotiates contracts and represents its clients in legal disputes. The firm is committed to delivering top legal services at national rates. Quinz distinguishes itself from its competitors through its commitment, understanding of commercial interests and, most of all, passion for doing business.

Main Areas of Practice:
Corporate/M&A & Finance:

Quinz has a broad client base, from international corporations, investors, banks and financial institutions to entrepreneurs, start-ups and growing businesses, and advises on various types of merger and acquisition projects, equity financing and credit transactions and a variety of corporate counselling and business restructuring matters. Thanks to extensive in-house experience, the lawyers are well versed in all matters of business and have an in-depth understanding of the environment in which their clients operate. The firm is trained to work closely with its clients’ management team, as well as other specialist teams within each company (legal, finance, sales). Pragmatism is key.

Dispute Resolution:
Dispute resolution is an essential part of the firm’s business. The experienced team of litigators fights for the interests of its clients in national and international arbitration and mediation proceedings. They assist companies in negotiations and deliver exceptionally reliable advice on litigation risks and strategy. The firm’s clients include highly-regarded international companies from various business sectors, such as banking, retail and leisure, life sciences and biotech, real estate, insurance and investment funds, and technology and media. The market recognises the firm’s strengths in corporate and commercial law, financial and insolvency law, contracts and torts, real estate, insurance, investment funds and corporate criminal law. The firm’s experience also includes appointments as independent arbitrators or mediators, both in institutional and ad hoc proceedings, in Belgium and abroad.

Life Sciences & Technology:
Quinz has assembled a specialist team that is dedicated to providing expert advice (on both national and international matters) to companies active in life sciences (pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices) and innovative technologies (smart devices & ICT, key enabling technologies). The firm strives to build a personalised, longstanding relationship with its clients and puts great effort into thoroughly understanding the science and business behind the companies it serves. The firm is efficient, hands-on and detailed, and, when required, is able to focus on operational emergencies. The firm’s clients are comprised of pharmaceutical multinationals, SMEs, innovative start-ups and spinoffs. In serving its clients’ needs, the firm advises them on regulatory and compliance challenges and the preservation of their intellectual property. The team draft and negotiate clients’ contracts for day-today operations, as well as for corporate structuring and strategic projects, business development and financing needs.
