NLG is a Bahrain-based international law firm established in 2012 by Joseph Huse, former Regional Managing Partner of MENA for Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he was responsible for the opening of all of the Middle East Offices of Freshfields. NLG was established with the objective of providing world-class legal services throughout the Kingdom of Bahrain and the GCC region. ■ The BAPCO Modernisation Project (BMP): Acting as local counsel to nogaholding and Bapco for both the construction and financing phases of the BMP (deal value in excess of US$ 6 billion). The project will increase the refinery’s existing production capacity from 267,000 bpd to a maximum of 380,000 bpd.
■Bahrain LNG: Acting as counsel to nogaholding on the financing and construction of an LNG terminal.
■ Transfer of a Retail Energy Business (Petrol Stations): Advising nogaholding including on: (i) the terms of the transaction documents; (ii) the formalities required under Bahraini Law; and (iii) the arrangements required for the new owner to operate the business

■ Mumtalakat’s Acquisition of AI-Dhaen: Advising Mumtalakat on its acquisition of a majority interest in Al-Dhaen Boats, which involved restructuring financing arrangements with Al-Dhaen’s lenders. Al-Dhaen is a manufacturer of high-quality fishing boats, pleasure yachts and commercial and military patrol boats
