Since October 2025, the founding partners combine years of experience in various roles ranging from boutique law firm to in-house counsel to big law partner. manner | masser lawyers understand themselves as designers of disputes, they aim to find the right mechanism for the right dispute and not fit the dispute into the mechanism. They have a clear view of client needs and expectations and deliver great results with a lean team.

manner | masser helps clients resolve disputes in various areas. One focus is on energy and construction related disputes, ranging from renewables to battery storages to data centres to oil and gas (upstream and downstream), gas storage disputes, and longterm delivery contracts for power or hydrogen. They also act in post M&A disputes with complex accounting or valuation issues at stake. Both partners are CEDR accredited mediators and will aim to solve the dispute without necessarily going to court or to arbitration. They also act in dispute adjudication boards. Clients are furthermore assisted in complex contract negotiations, in particular in onshore and offshore wind.

manner | masser has.a broad international footprint. The advice ranges from arbitrations conducted under various institutional rules in various jurisdictions under various laws to arbitrator appointments that are truly international and reflect the reputation the partners have in the global arbitration market. Anna Masser is currently advising a European investor against a European state in front of German state courts in novel questions arising from EU law. Simon Manner is in charge of a case that spans the globe with 1782 proceedings in the US pending in aid of German state court proceedings. Both partners are regularly appointed in big scale international arbitrations to sit as arbitrator. Fee earners also sit as arbitrators.
