In order to attend all matters related to court litigation and arbitration within the territory of Bolivia, the work of the legal team can be extended to all the cities, where the firm maintains associated lawyers.

The firm’s work is focused on complex litigation cases on which finding an integral solution to the client’s problem is the top priority. This has allowed the firm to represent important clients and companies within the areas of criminal, civil, commercial, and constitutional law; Arbitration; Alternative Dispute Resolution; and Distribution Disputes.

One of the firm’s specialties is criminal litigation tightly connected with commercial, banking, importation, and logistics operations. Focusing on complex and specialised cases, the firm limits the number of clients, in order to give each one a personalised and higher quality service.

Over the last few years, the firm has perfectioned a merger with one of the oldest firms in the country in the Intellectual and Industrial Property sector, extending the services to registration and dispute resolution in the subject. As a result, the firm has an experienced IP Department that continues to provide innovative and efficient solutions to clients.

As part of the work on social responsibility, the firm sponsors pro bono cases to limited resources groups, and partners are constantly cooperating with commonwealth organisations.

Main Areas of Practice:
Litigation & Dispute Resolution:

This is the most important and specialised department of the firm. In the last year, important disputes were attended in matters of product distribution, default portfolios, and constitutional actions in some of the most important disputes in the country.

Criminal Litigation:
The firm is widely recognised for its long history in dealing with criminal proceedings. The studies and experience of the lawyers within the criminal justice system are oriented to attend this type of process in the most efficient way, in which they usually deal with financial crimes or corporate criminal disputes.

Arbitration:
The firm is recognised for its experience in international and local arbitration, both as litigants and as arbitrators or experts summoned within subject. In addition, there is extensive and favourable experience in litigation after the issuance of an arbitration award.

Distribution Disputes:
A relatively new area of negotiations and litigation in Bolivia. Its gaining importance in recent years, has led to a specialised department in this area within the firm.

Intellectual Property:
There is a wide portfolio of clients in this area. The firm’s specialisation is focused (in addition to the usual work of an Intellectual Property Firm) on emerging disputes both at the administrative and court levels.

Sports Law:
The solution of sports disputes requires a special field of knowledge and skills that have been developed by the firm over the years. Among its clients there are some of the most important institutions in the field of sports in the country.

Oil, Mining and Natural Resources:
The firm has an extensive experience at the administrative level as well as the contentious and constitutional litigation related to the exploitation of natural resources, oil and mining.
