Firm Overview:
Klasko Immigration Law Partners (KILP) provides creative solutions to complex immigration problems. The firm has a reputation for finding a path to clients’ immigration goals especially when other firms and lawyers have said there is no way forward. The KILP team assists employers to administer complex corporate immigration programs to meet their talent needs; assists investors and entrepreneurs in creating EB-5 Regional Centers and investment-based immigration projects; and assists individuals in demonstrating their qualifications for immigration benefits limited to the exceptional and extraordinary. KILP also assists clients with establishing immigration compliance programs and defends clients in immigration-related fine and debarment proceedings before the Departments of Homeland Security, Labor, and Justice. In the last year, the firm has seen incredible growth and interest in litigation options for corporate clients, individuals, and specifically, EB-5 investors.
Main Areas of Practice:
Comprehensive U.S Immigration:
KILP assists multinational corporations, universities, research institutions, hospitals, and startup companies with their diverse range of immigration needs related to the employment of foreign nationals. The firm’s experienced employment-based immigration attorneys develop creative solutions to ensure clients’ immigration needs are successfully met. KILP works with a variety of multinational corporations, universities, research institutions, hospitals, and mid-, and small-sized companies to develop innovative and effective immigration strategies. The firm’s services focus on meeting the unique demands of your company or business for your inbound U.S. immigration. This includes temporary immigration needs such as intracompany transfers, training, and local hires, as well as long-term immigration strategies including permanent residence and U.S. citizenship applications. KILP also works closely with its clients to successfully meet the company’s changing immigration needs in light of ongoing regulatory developments.
Investment Immigration:
For many foreign nationals, investing in a U.S. business is the best option to be able to live and work in the United States, when they have no family or employment sponsorship available to them. And for some, it may be the only option for obtaining permanent residence status. There are two paths for immigrant investors to live and work in the U.S., one leads to permanent residence (green card), and one has many other benefits, but is a nonimmigrant visa. Klasko Immigration Law Partners has a fully staffed investor team to help high-net-worth individuals compare their options and decide which path is right for their unique situation. The EB-5 immigrant investor program is a multi-year process that will lead to permanent residency (green card) in the U.S. The second investor option is available to citizens of a treaty country and is the E-2 treaty investor visa. Both options require the help of many professionals, including highly skilled immigration attorneys to protect the immigration interests of the investor.
EB-1 Immigration:
Klasko Immigration Law Partners’ EB-1 immigration practice has industry-leading success rates, which are accomplished by a dedicated team of attorneys and support staff that customizes each petition to highlight the skills and impact of each foreign national’s unique and extraordinary abilities, contributions, and accomplished careers. The EB-1 visa is the most desirable option for obtaining permanent residency in the United States among all of the employment-based immigration options, and refers to the employment-based first preference immigrant visa category, which is reserved for “priority workers,” giving them first preference in the green card acquisition process. The firm’s skilled team of seasoned EB-1 immigration lawyers and technical writers can help determine the best path of employment-based immigration for clients and assist in completing the necessary documentation to get approved for an EB-1 or NIW green card. Along with a seasoned attorney, there is a dedicated EB-1 team of highly-skilled paralegals that will walk each foreign national through the lengthy and complicated petition process every step of the way.
Global Immigration:
In addition to handling companies’ inbound U.S. immigration, Klasko Immigration Law Partners also assists companies in sending or transferring employees across the globe on business-related travel. The firm’s Global Immigration practice team will help identify which business travelers will need visas and assist Human Resources and Mobility departments through the visa application process for destinations around the world. The firm will help spot issues and handle visa needs, from basic business and visitor visas to work visas and long-term arrangements. Consolidate your inbound and outbound immigration needs under one roof.
Worksite Compliance:
It is more important than ever for employers to fully comply with all relevant immigration laws. At Klasko Immigration Law Partners our experienced employment-based immigration lawyers and a team of professionals assist businesses and institutions around the country in preparing policies and programs to ensure full compliance with federal laws and regulations, as well as the increasing volume of state worksite enforcement laws. The firm also represents employers who face audits, investigations, and enforcement-related litigation. KILP’s immigration compliance attorneys regularly train companies on how to implement effective corporate compliance programs, as well as how to conduct effective self-audits.
Business Litigation:
Frustration is growing with federal policies, adjudication delays, regulations, and interpretations. Filing a lawsuit can be a powerful tool to hold USCIS accountable for its improper tactics. When the government has denied an application or petition, or if an individual or organization is facing unreasonably delayed adjudications, and all other options have been exhausted, sometimes the next action is to file a lawsuit against the government. When considering this option, you need an experienced legal team that has had a successful track record of filing immigration lawsuits.
