Based in central London, Katz Partners is a specialist divorce and family law firm with a focus on high-net-worth and complex cases. It was established in April 2019 by Davina Katz, who was joined by all of the former family department at Schillings International LLP, which she led for ten years.

The team is experienced in dealing with cases which involve sophisticated asset structures, often with an international element and offshore trust and tax issues. It has a diverse and cosmopolitan client base: ranging from board-level members in the banking, private equity and hedge fund space to international entrepreneurs with a public profile. It also advises companies, banks and other financial institutions, trustees and other third parties which may become involved in financial proceedings upon divorce.

The team is dedicated to pushing the boundaries for the benefit of its clients and has led and won a number of ground-breaking cases, some of them establishing the current law.

The team’s expertise covers not only separation/divorce and finance cases, but also cohabitation and unmarried relationships; complex private law children matters (including residence and contact disputes, injunctive relief, and applications to relocate internationally); pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements (domestically and internationally); and the associated privacy law issues that come hand in hand with clients in the public domain.

The team prides itself on being discreet, pragmatic and innovative, working around the clock to provide an outstanding service to its clients. It recognises the sensitive and difficult nature of relationship breakdown, and the issues which come with it. It provides a very high level of client service with a focus on empathy, integrity and a constructive approach.

The team is comprised of its three founding partners: Davina Katz, David Greer and Emily Kapoor. Davina Katz has over 20 years of experience in high-profile family law - first at Mishcon de Reya and then at Schillings, which she joined in 2009 to establish its award-winning family department. Emily Kapoor spent the first decade of her career at Withers before joining Davina Katz and David Greer at Schillings, prior to the establishment of Katz Partners.
