    Established in 1919, the firm is one of the oldest and largest commercial firms in Trinidad and Tobago with a well established reputation. It has grown steadily over the years and today has a large client base which includes many major international corporations and financial institutions. It has a broadly based practice organised into five main areas – commercial and corporate (including energy, oil and gas and employment), banking and finance, real estate and land development, advocacy and litigation, probate and intellectual property.

    The firm advises clients in all areas of commercial and corporate law including the incorporation and registration of companies locally, joint ventures, government privatisation and divestment projects, takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, public offers and listings, restructuring, tax and the establishment, operation and funding of major industrial projects. Members of the firm’s corporate practice have also developed a substantial international practice with an emphasis on joint venture agreements, project financing and implementation and government and cross-border agreements on taxation and other incentives. The firm also advises on all aspects of employment law, including the creation of the employment relationship, rights, duties and liabilities under local labour legislation and at common law. The firm also has extensive experience in the establishment and operation of pension plans.
