The Chambers
Organised through eight practice groups — commercial, crime, employment, family, personal injury, property, probate and public law — Fenners has developed from a chambers comprising a few young barristers in the 1970’s to become the leading chambers in the East of England in both numbers and reputation.
Cambridge is famed for its university and cutting-edge technologies, but it remains a small city. Fenners has developed its standing and reputation by carefully building a network of relationships with solicitors throughout the region over many years. Some members have highly specialist practices taking them across the country and overseas.

Fenners success is based on:
The careful selection of new members, its strong clerking team, its collegiate and informal approach and by valuing all clients equally. Above all, the set strives to meet people’s needs for legal advice and representation in a practical and realistic way.
As well as providing referral services for solicitors in the usual way, many of Fenners’ barristers work directly for the public through the public access scheme and are involved in mediation or arbitration.
