The Firm:
Founded in 2018, Devine & Severova is a boutique law firm with a strong focus on the oil and gas sector. Providing an alternative to large international law firms, it combines leading expertise with flexibility, innovation and personal attention to clients’ requirements. Its founders, Richard Devine and Ana Severova, have been practising in the MENA region since 2005 and their combined experience spans over 30 years and more than 30 countries.

Main Areas of Practice:
Devine & Severova’s core strengths are advising clients on all aspects of the energy chain: from upstream exploration and production, through midstream transportation and processing to downstream refining, distributing, and retail. The firm’s clients include major international oil companies, national oil companies, independent producers, oilfield services providers and project developers.

International Work:
 Devine & Severova regularly work on cross-border matters. Recent experience includes advising on matters in Azerbaijan, Egypt, the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Qatar, Turkmenistan, the Republic of Congo, UAE and Yemen.
