Co-managing partner Ruben T. Labour & Personal Injury (Includes Filipino Crew Claims):
DelRosarioLaw has assisted in the settlements of thousands of Filipino seafarer claims. The firm has collaborated on various cases pending in other jurisdictions on matters relating to Philippine law especially in affirming the jurisdiction clause of the standard contract for Filipino seafarers issued by the POEA. DelRosarioLaw has also assisted the International groups of P&I Clubs in the drafting of the now widely used standard release for the settlement of Filipino crew claims including the standard release procedures to prevent jurisdiction challenges in fora. The firm closely assists the pre-employment medical examination (PEME) initiatives of its clients as a loss prevention measure. The firm regularly issues Philippine Shipping Updates and has published the widely used primer on the POEA contract.
