B-HSE

B-HSE is an independent Law Firm founded at the end of 2020 by two Professors of Law, Francesco Bruno and Matteo Benozzo, with a shared vision of the legal practice: high specialization, competence, quality of work, understanding and knowledge of the Clients' business, flexibility, growth and nurturing of young talents. In October 2021 a new team lead by criminal lawyer Elisabetta Busuito joined the Firm. The willingness of their former team members to follow the partners to B-HSE not only means that the Firm is very much immediately “up and running”, but also displays the loyalty they inspire in their colleagues. Currently, in addition to the three above mentioned partners, B-HSE has another partner, Francesco Salvi, head of the compliance department, five associates, one off-counsel and two legal trainees.

B-HSE main Clients are important chemical-food groups, leading companies in drilling and geo-inspection activities for natural resources, petroleum and lubricant companies dedicated to the refining and distribution of products, world leading groups in the production of generic drugs, companies in production and management of renewable sources, companies specialized in environmental, waste and landfill management services, numerous companies engaged in the production and sale of energy, public bodies and cement plants. Furthermore, the Firm assists Italian and foreign multinational companies operating in food, chemical-pharmaceutical, defence, oil & gas, energy, banking and real estate sectors as well as other law Firms not holding its specialization.

Main Areas of Practice

The specialized assistance provided by B-HSE to its Clients covers all legal issues related to environmental matters, under the various profiles of criminal responsibility, administrative and civil law, ensuring assistance both in Courts and in extraordinary and ordinary day by day support to the management. The main environmental issues the Firm deals with are, for instance:

• environmental compatibility assessments (EIA - Environmental Impact Assessment, SEA - Strategic Environmental Assessment and Impact Assessment for Natura 2000 sites) and related authorization procedures;

B-HSE further assists Clients in all legal matters related to H&S at workplace regarding criminal, administrative and civil liability, supporting the Employer in planning and managing daily issues. Some of the issues dealt with are, for instance:

• criminal trials for crimes of injury and homicide at workplace;
• fulfilling the obligations of mapping, prevention and risk assessment;
• dangerous substances and chemical, physical or biological agents;

Combining over ten years of professional experience with a high scientific profile, B-HSE assists Italian, foreign companies and multinational groups in the food and beverage sector and food distribution.
