Firm Overview
Lindahl is one of Sweden’s leading and largest business law firms, with around 300 committed employees. The firm has six offices covering all major business hubs and regional markets in Sweden. The history of Lindahl stretches back more than a hundred years, to the founding of Alf Lindahl’s law firm in Stockholm in 1918. During the late 1980s, a number of firms nationwide merged into one new firm, aptly named Lindahl after the oldest partner at that time, a son of Alf Lindahl. Ever since, the firm has experienced exceptional growth both organically and through lateral hires, not least recently in Stockholm with more than 10 prominent lateral partner hires in said office during the last three years. Internationally, Lindahl is independent and relies on good relations with law firms around the globe in cross-border matters.

Main Areas of Practice
Lindahl has a genuine full-service offering in all the major areas of business law (see above practice areas). Due to its local presence in Sweden’s major business hubs, Lindahl has built close and well-established relationships with leading local companies in various industry segments that consistently rely on Lindahl’ legal specialist advice in their day-to-day businesses and projects. As a group, in addition to their legal specialist knowledge, the lawyers of Lindahl thus possess exceptionally broad and genuine industry segment expertise within a wide range of sectors such as life sciences, information and communications technologies, energy and infrastructure, real estate, gaming, automotive, and many others.
In terms of main areas of practice, Lindahl’s transactional work (especially within private and public M&A, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Banking/Finance, and Real Estate), a lot of which is of cross-border nature, has been a key driver of Lindahl’s exceptional growth during recent years and represents, together with a considerably increasing number of dispute resolution mandates, a large and central part of the firm’s practice.
Mission
Lindahl understands that professional clients expect from a leading law firm to swiftly deliver clear and proactive advice of the highest quality, and to possess commercial acumen and a capacity to handle matters that reach far beyond Sweden’s borders. These elements are a foundation of Lindahl’s offering. In addition to this, we strive to perform our work with a no-nonsense approach. This means providing clear answers and relevant advice in a concise, straightforward way, from tailor-made teams with the appropriate skillset to make sure clients get exactly the help they need.
In an ever-changing world, we focus on continuously developing and modernizing our organization and skills to ensure Lindahl is the best possible partner for its clients. We are also dedicated to being the best possible employer where our colleagues and talents can grow, develop, and reach their full potential, in a friendly and respectful environment, with an ambition to create sustainable growth for the future. We achieve this by being straight-forward, unpretentious, and clear, whilst maintaining focus on business value.
Diversity
Our ability to advance all aspects of diversity work is crucial to our talent supply, and therefore an important issue for our long-term and sustainable operations. We believe that engagement and gender equality are important for a good work environment. Lindahl has a clear principle that the assessment of all employees should be based on professional qualities and strictly on merit. Our work on gender equality is always guided by current developments in the field and proven experience. We want to encourage and help all employees to develop and reach their full potential, regardless of gender, religious beliefs, sexual orientation, or any other aspect that is irrelevant to our professional practice. To achieve this, we work for a fair delegation of duties and have a clear framework for how lawyers, regardless of gender or other personal aspects, should be enabled to advance to a leading position at the same rate.
CSR & Pro Bono
Lindahl is a committed and responsible long-term member of local society. Our most important contribution is to be part of creating sustainable, efficient, and innovative development and trade, to the benefit of all. We contribute to Swedish commerce and voluntary organizations through the personal involvement of many of our lawyers and employees in various national and regional initiatives.
We also provide resources to the Raoul Wallenberg Institute (RWI) of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law. The work with RWI is not only an opportunity for Lindahl to support an important initiative – it is also a chance for the firm’s employees to get involved in issues concerning human rights. Through the collaborative agreement, opportunities for internal education and various joint activities between RWI and Lindahl have opened up.
Also, for the past decade, Lindahl has organized Sweden’s largest business law case competition (Business Law Challenge) for law students from all over the country. The Business Law Challenge gives law students a unique chance to learn and better understand what it takes to become a good and valuable business advisor for the future, making it an invaluable experience in their careers.
