Specific Product Terms - Event Sponsorship Terms
- Introduction
The following Event Attendance Terms will apply when you agree to purchase Tickets from us, and/or attend an Event. These should be read in conjunction with the Master Terms that will also apply.
- Interpretation
Where used in these Event AttendanceTerms:
(a) 'Chambers Contact' means the person nominated by Chambers as your point of contact in relation to the purchase of Tickets;
(b) 'Event' means the conference or other event identified in the Ticket Order Form;
(c) 'Ticket' means a ticket for the Event;
(d) 'Ticket Order Form' means the form provided by Chambers which must be completed and signed on your behalf, confirming the details of the Ticket(s) you want to purchase from us;
(e) 'Venue' means the venue at which the Event will be held, as set out in the Ticket Order Form;
(f) expressions defined in the Master Terms and used in these Event Attendance Terms have the meaning set out in the Master Terms; and
(g) the rules of interpretation set out in clause 2 of the Master Terms shall apply to these Event Attendance Terms.
- Ticket terms
3.1 Tickets for the Event are issued subject to the rules and regulations of the Venue.
3.2 You understand and acknowledge that Event attendees may be subject to the Venue terms of entry, which may include the right for the Venue operator to request that any ticket holder leave the Venue at any time for safety reasons or immediately after the Event.
3.3 No Ticket may be transferred, sold, offered for sale, coupled or bundled with any other product or services, or used for any commercial or promotional purposes whatsoever without our consent.
3.4 We are unable to offer refunds or exchanges in respect of Tickets purchased unless the Event is cancelled or you cancel your order in accordance with clause 4 of the Master Terms. All Tickets are not transferable to other events and are strictly not for resale.
3.5 If a Ticket is used in breach of these Event Attendance Terms it is void and the holder may be refused entry or asked to leave the Event.
3.6 You agree to keep any Ticket (either in hardcopy or electronic copy) provided by us safe and in a good condition as a duplicate Ticket will not be issued if it is lost, deleted or stolen and a defaced or illegible Ticket may become invalidated.
3.7 If applicable, we reserve the right to alter your seat allocation without prior notice. If this is necessary for whatever reason, we will reimburse any reduction in value between the original and altered seat allocation.
3.8 The Venue operator may have to conduct security searches to ensure the safety of persons at the Event.
3.9 You agree and acknowledge that the programme for the Event will be subject to changes and variation and Chambers shall have no liability to you whatever in the event of such change or variation.
4. Personal data
4.1 We comply with all applicable data protection legislation and are committed to ensuring, at all times, the security and protection of all personal information that we process. To find out more about how we will process any of your personal information that you choose to provide to us, including when this may be shared with a third party, please read this privacy notice here.
We will use your personal data for the purpose of providing services in relation to an Event, including, but not limited to Event registration, communications, Event access, dining, administration (including before, after and during the Event), invoicing and payment, attendee/delegate lists, post-Event feedback, quality checks, attendee/delegate verification, research and surveys
We may share your relevant personal data (First Name, Last Name, Company, Email) with external speakers/sponsors/presenters/trainers, Event venue management, an Online event platform, and other third parties.
We will share your relevant personal data with Event Sponsors who may be based outside the country where the Event takes place.
Registration Details of attendees/delegates will be shared to enable attendees/delegates to contact each other and to view the list of attendees/delegates at an Event. If you do not want your registration details to be shared for this purpose, please email [email protected] at least 10 business days before the start of the Event.
APPENDIX
Photo and Video Consent
I hereby consent to my image(s) being used by Chambers and Partners during in-person events.
Photos and video will be used in compliance to GDPR regulations. Photos and videos taken at in-person events will be used for promotion via social media platforms and for future marketing activities. Platforms and usage include but are not limited to: Email, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, YouTube and event webpages.
By attending a Chambers and Partners event, I hereby consent to the photos being used in marketing and promotional communications, including websites, social media, and marketing materials. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].
