Banking & Finance is a top practice area of Žurić i Partneri. Over the past 25 years, Žurić i Partneri has been involved in the post-privatization sale, acquisition or merger of almost every bank transaction in Croatia. The firm is also among the first Croatian law firms to have advised international banks on doing business with derivatives (ISDA) and repurchase (repo) agreements with domestic financial and non-financial institutions.

In 2017 and 2018 the firm has acted as Croatian legal counsel in relation to the largest public debt restructuring deal ever in Croatia – debt optimisation of the motorway and road sector, including a cross-border restructuring of a EUR 5.3 billion loan portfolio and a EUR 1.275 billion sovereign bond issuance. Additionally, the firm has in-depth experience advising on projects involving regulatory matters regarding the credit card industry, securities, equities markets and structured finance.
