We operate a cross-border practice and provide our clients with a single point of contact for energy-related transactions in Central, Eastern and Southeastern Europe (CEE/SEE). Our practice focuses on three main areas: infrastructure, renewable energy and conventional energy related work – with each practice managed by experienced partners in our cross-border team. Our Bucharest Projects & Energy practice is a regional competence centre for energy law within Wolf Theiss. Our team provides integrated advice in the most complex mandates by seamlessly collaborating with our specialists in other practices.

Our experience includes numerous Romanian major energy and power development deals, such as power plant M&As, project development, as well as regulatory and strategic advisory work. Of particular note is the combination of renewable energy and project finance advice we provide in connection with the acquisition and development of solar renewable energy investment projects in Romania. Our team continues to advise clients on electricity forwarding, a unique product on the market, a special structure for real estate developers and real estate management companies to lawfully provide electricity supply and private network usage in large industry parks, shopping malls and office buildings.
