Stearns Weaver Miller’s Real Estate group represents owners, developers, investors, tenants, lenders, and others in all areas of real estate. Projects include commercial (offices, shopping centers, hotels), industrial, mixed-use, master planned communities, and residential. We represent developers in connection with construction loans for all types of commercial real estate, including condominiums.
The team assists with contract negotiation and preparation, project planning and development, financing, construction, leasing, sale-leaseback transactions, 1031 exchanges, restructurings, foreclosures, and loan dispositions.
Our Commercial Real Estate Lending team represents banks, insurance companies, and institutional lenders with the extension of credit. We assist in negotiating the acquisition, development and construction of the projects and the workout of troubled assets.
Our Land Use/Zoning team counsels clients on structuring deals, executing development strategies, and securing entitlements and permits. We assist from due diligence through construction and final permitting, and have extensive litigation experience where necessary to obtain or defend approvals.
Our Affordable Housing team represents developers in developing and financing projects, including equity raised through tax credit syndication, tax-exempt bonds, Fannie/Freddie/FHA loans, HUD 221(d)(4) financing, and other funding sources. We also represent lenders providing financing or credit enhancement.
