"She'sgot a fantastic reputation locally and has dealt with some fairly significant cases," says an interviewee, who adds: "She's very focused on what the client's objectives are. She's certainly a very thorough and very good lawyer, and very pragmatic as well. If I had a dispute personally, I would have 100% confidence in her."

James McNeile is head of the firm's private client department and is a member of the agriculture and rural team. He handles tax and estate planning matters for landed estates, farming clients and non-UK domiciled individuals. "What he doesn't know about the law doesn't need knowing," says a source, "and he can communicate it in a really measured way, which gives clients a lot of comfort."
