Since opening our first Texas office in 1996, we have built our Texas presence by acquiring established labor and employment lawyers who have previously practiced at some of Texas and the United States’ most prominent firms. In transitioning their practices, these lawyers recognized that the specialty firm model is better for clients and therefore better for practitioners in the labor and employment field. History has proven that assessment to be correct, and Ogletree Deakins in particular has been the beneficiary of the shift from full-service firms to specialty firms for labor and employment matters. Ogletree Deakins’ dominance in Texas is reflected by the fact that it handles more employment-related lawsuits in Texas and has more lawyers certified in labor and employment law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization than any other law firm.
