Overview

Our department is best known as a transactional energy department, with a focus on supporting relevant transactions related to energy projects, including the development, construction, financing and operation phases. This implies that, as part of our work, we focus in relevant project agreements for these types of projects such as private PPAs, interconnection and tolling agreements, and fuel supply, as well as EPC, O&M and other ancillary agreements.

We have been at the forefront of the broad Chilean energy industry having advised emblematic projects such as the Cerro Dominador CSP Project, the first CSP project in Latin America.

We have represented several local and international developers in the structuring and negotiation of their energy projects in Chile. We have also participated in M&A processes, most recently acting for EIG Global Energy Partners in the acquisition of solar projects.

Also, ancillary to our project finance practice, we have consolidated and expanded our leading role in financing facilities to develop small distributed generation assets (PMGD), advising several lenders in the financing of portfolios of small renewable projects. During the last year, we have been involved in the financing or refinancing of major projects of the energy sector, representing the developers / borrowers of projects such as the Cabo Leones III wind farm (78 MW), and for the second portfolio of 18 solar projects owned by AD Capital, among other relevant transactions.
