The department has outstanding expertise and experience in complex regulatory disputes, specifically in the electricity, oil and gas and also in labour matters. It is also a pioneer in international arbitration, participating in many of the market’s biggest cases in recent years, such as representing Duke Energy in one of very few ICSID cases in which the Republic of Peru was defeated.
