Qualified retirement plans – We advise clients on sophisticated retirement plan issues, including defined benefit and defined contribution arrangements, and counsel clients to provide retirement benefits that meet organizational goals and complex IRS and DOL requirements.
Executive compensation – The firm takes on a large amount of executive compensation work, advising public companies, compensation committees, management, and individual executives on everything from employment/severance agreement negotiations to tax and securities compliance matters.
Individual executives – A key differentiator of our practice is that we do a lot of work for individual executives as well as just management. McDermott is one of few high-end firms specializing in senior executives – primarily “decision makers” – on their compensation arrangements.
