Work highlights

Acted for a global internet corporation in Supreme Court of Victoria defamation litigation brought by a plaintiff claiming that search engine results concerning him were defamatory. The court rejected the plaintiff's claims in respect of four out of five cited publications and eight out of ten alleged defamatory imputations and awarded him AUD40,000 in damages, less than 10% of the maximum possible sum.

Advised Microsoft on the negotiation of a AUD400 million deal with National Australia Bank, securing for the latter the Microsoft Azure platform as a basis for its digital transformation project.

Notable practitioners
