What the Team is Known For
Henderson Chambers houses an impressive bench of barristers proficient in contentious and non-contentious consumer finance issues. Members of the set represent a range of clients across the sector (including banks, insurance companies, foreign and domestic corporations, government bodies, local authorities, NGOs, professional bodies and private individuals) and have particular experience of cases relating to the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. One interviewee commentated that "the set has a number of barristers who specialise in the area, who have remarkable knowledge and experience.” Members recently acted for Eternity Sky v Zhang, a case concerning the infringement of rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. They also appeared in Johnson v FirstRand Bank Ltd, a Supreme Court case involving commission payments in motor finance agreements.
Jason Housden is the senior clerk.
