The Intellectual Property practice group provides strategic advice with a comprehensive understanding of the needs and trends of globalized services and products, ensuring that the commercial and business decisions of our clients will foresee the protection of their intellectual and industrial property rights.
For such purposes, we have ample experience in assisting our clients with legal opinions, interpreting applicable legislation as well as international treaties for them to understand the legal impact thereof. Furthermore, considering that technologies and other sectors develop at a fast rate (e.g., the Internet of things), industrial and intellectual property regulations often have gaps as they do not develop at the same space, in such regards, interpretation and strategic advice to our clients in such matters has become a core of our practice.
We represent clients in the protection of their intellectual property rights from infringement, counterfeiting, misappropriation and unfair competition, as well as for the enforcement thereof, through administrative and judicial litigation, before the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property and Mexican courts, respectively.
Our practice also includes the performance of a specific legal due diligence in this area, in order to identify contingencies related to industrial and intellectual property rights, or any limitations in the exercise of such rights by their owners and/or licensees.
