About

Provided by Eversheds Sutherland

Eversheds Sutherland’s procurement team advises both procurers and suppliers, providing practical, commercially-focused advice on high profile and complex procurements across the entire procurement lifecycle.

One of its key strengths comes from dedicated non-contentious and contentious experts working as a single team providing innovative strategic advice which anticipates and minimises legal risks.

The team has long standing client relationships and the size, quality and complexity of the matters handled cover all aspects of procurement for central and local government, utilities and private sector clients, across all major sectors including transport, energy and water, pensions and financial services, TMT, food, health and education, ranging from R&D, innovation, technology, real estate and joint venture developments, to infrastructure, outsourcing and complex services transactions.

Recent examples include advising on Network Rail’s £1.5bn Midland Rail Hub Alliance and Bristol Temple Quarter LLP’s significant regeneration project around Temple Meads station. Our team also continues to build on its history of being involved in leading procurement cases including acting for Optima Health opposite DWP in the Court Of Appeal as well as DfT on its rail franchise litigation, and advising Sante Global LLP on in its claim against DHSC. The team also support and train clients on regulatory compliance including Procurement Act 2023 sourcing processes and training programmes.
