One of our strongest practice areas is employment and labour law. Our specialists have wide range of experience in this field as they advise clients in various matters from day-to-day advice to complex cases such as labour disputes, TUPE, collective redundancy procedure). Our lawyers work for local clients (mostly subsidiaries of big multinational groups) in Hungary but in many cases, we work closely together with other Eversheds Sutherland offices on multijurisdictional projects, where subsidiaries of an international group in several countries are affected by similar transactions (restructuring, outsourcing, etc). We regularly provide client trainings for the management and HR team.
We advise clients on all HR and employment law issues including preparation of different types of employment contracts, manager contracts, as well as collective agreements. We also manage contentious employment matters and have successfully represented many clients in labour court disputes and out-of-court settlements, mostly in connection with termination of employment. We regularly advise clients on bonus policies, employee handbooks or in preparing work schedules, home office policies, whistleblowing policies. We advise on employment related data privacy matters and participate in internal investigations. We assist clients also with immigration in connection with moving their expats and expert employees to Hungary.
