Members of the Dentons Competition team in Slovakia are part of Dentons’ Global Competition, Trade and Regulatory Group, a full-service anti-trust and competition law practice unifying all the strengths of Dentons’ local Competition Law practice groups. Our Slovak team cooperates closely with the teams of a particular and specialized expertise in the Czech Republic, Belgium, France, Germany, the UK, Poland and Romania, Hungary and provides advisory on both local and cross-border issues under Slovak and EU law. Dentons’ Brussels office provides additional support on EU law and offers the clients close liaison with the EU institutions, as well as advice on trade matters.
In Slovakia, we have developed a depth of knowledge advising clients from various sectors, including chemicals, pharmaceuticals and life science, food and beverages, telecom, transportation and logistics, retail, insurance, real estate and construction. We have gained significant experience in advising our clients on competition matters in regulated sectors. We have a strong track record of assisting on important local and cross-border transactions (M&A, JVs), merger control as well as on sector regulation and compliance, state aid, and public procurement proceedings.
We also have extensive litigation experience before competition authorities and courts, both at a national and at the EU level. We have represented our clients throughout the CEE in a series of investigations and dawn raids.
