We act for the majority of major professional indemnity insurers with a client base equalling (and in most cases exceeding) that of our competitors.

The team has significant experience of acting for all "traditional" professionals including solicitors, barristers, insurance brokers, property managers, engineers, architects and design and build contractors.

The breadth of our client base and expertise means that we are regularly instructed on complex, multi- party, high-profile and high-value claims particularly against solicitors, insurance brokers and D&C Contractors.

We are also handling an increasing number of claims against "emerging" professionals including those in the media and IT sector. A number of these claims involve an international aspect and Harald Loeffler has specific experience in this area. He also heads up the firm's "German Desk".

In addition to handling the defence of claims, we are seeing an increasing number of coverage instructions notwithstanding the implementation of the Insurance Act 2015.

The Professional & Commercial Risk Practice Group is split into 3 clusters, Global (London and International), P&CR South (Newport and Bristol) and P&CR North (Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle). We work closely with our colleagues across the Group to ensure consistency and a joined up, specialist sector approach. We are also known for providing Partner led advice and for using proactive, decisive and cost effective strategies.
