Since setting foot in Asia, we have been providing offshore legal services to many of the region’s oldest and largest institutions and corporations. With the Hong Kong and Singapore offices combined, we have a total of 36 lawyers in Asia, making us one of the largest offshore firms in the region. Our Asia-based lawyers advise on Bermuda, British Virgin Islands and Cayman Islands laws. Through our global network, we provide clients with timely and commercial advice they need for cross-border transactions and court cases.

Highlights of our Asia offices' recent work include:

• JMH Company Limited on its issue of an aggregate principal amount of US$1.2 billion guaranteed bonds guaranteed by Jardine Matheson Holdings Limited (nominated at the ALB Hong Kong Law Awards 2021 for Debt Market Deal of the Year.)• CAR Inc. and Indigo Glamour Company Limited on the privatisation of CAR Inc. by way of Voluntary General Offer & Compulsory Acquisition (shortlisted at IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards 2021 for M&A Deal of the Year.

• HKT Group Holdings Limited on the issue of an aggregate principal amount of US$650 million 3.00% guaranteed notes due 2032

Conyers operates an established offshore practice with Hong Kong and Singapore-based teams able to advise clients on Bermuda, Cayman Islands and BVI matters. The firm houses a market-leading capital markets practice, with considerable experience assisting corporate clients with their listings on the Hong Kong, US and Shanghai stock exchanges. This group is also acknowledged for its proficient M&A transactional expertise, with extensive experience assisting clients involved in major privatisations in the Asia-Pacific region.
