Our team of restructuring and insolvency specialists is an integrated part of the full-service banking & finance department of CMS NL (which comprises of 19 lawyers in total) and advises all types of stakeholders involved in, or impacted by, national and international restructurings and insolvency matters.
Our team also advises companies and their directors and supervisory directors on asset-based lending, multi jurisdiction restructuring and work out scenarios and on all issues relating to directors’ and officers’ liability. The team litigates for this group of clients in these areas of law.
Our lawyers are also regularly appointed by the Dutch Court as administrator and (preliminary) bankruptcy trustee in high-profile insolvency proceedings. Our knowledge and experience of both (debt) restructurings and acting as court-appointed bankruptcy trustees, makes CMS uniquely positioned to advise all stakeholders facing distressed and special situations.
