The intellectual property practice of ChingCheng Attorneys at Law focuses on patent and trademark matters, providing integrated legal and technical support to clients seeking to secure, enforce and commercialise their intellectual property rights in Taiwan and across multiple jurisdictions.
The team has experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious intellectual property matters, with particular involvement in patent infringement disputes and proceedings relating to patent validity, including invalidation and revocation actions, as well as administrative enforcement cases.
The practice is led by Founding Partner James Hou and is supported by a multidisciplinary team comprising Taiwanese attorneys, a Chinese-qualified attorney, patent consultants and trademark consultants. In addition to dispute resolution, the team advises on intellectual property transactions, including the structuring and drafting of IP-related agreements, and regularly supports foreign investors and cross-border matters involving Taiwan and China.
