Cescon Barrieu’s Mining department is strategically located in the State of Minas Gerais, considered the most important mining state in Brazil. The practice is integrated with all other practice areas of the firm, including, specially, Environmental, Infrastructure, Project Finance, M&A and Capital Markets.

The team is frequently involved in project financing transactions in the industry and provide regulatory and negotiation advice to mining and financing companies, in addition to regulatory and business advice to mining companies within M&A and capital markets transactions. Furthermore, the team advises autonomously on regulatory matters and on contracts with joint venture partners, suppliers or service providers.
