  • We defended a tax franchisee in a lawsuit against a former tax preparer who quit. We alleged the former employee violated the non-compete agreement and misappropriated the tax franchisees’ confidential information. We reached a settlement that included a non-compete agreement for the tax season and for a period of time that exceeded the previous restriction.
  • We represented a private correctional facilities operator in a tort claim where a former   psychologist claimed they were terminated because they had accused another independent contractor of engaging in illegal activity as well as made a claim for malicious breach of contract against the facility. The parties reached a settlement that was favorable to the company.
