Binder Grösswang has long lasting experience in a wide range of contentious and non-contentious IT and telecom matters. The firm has also a long tradition in telecoms and advises major Austrian telecommunications providers in various legal aspects, also in connection with respective activities in e-health matters. We are very active in e-commerce and domain law, in particular in connection with the introduction of new generic top-level domains. In addition to that, we are active in data protection matters (data transfer, processing, security and data protection breaches, cookies), IT outsourcing projects and licensing agreements. We further regularly conduct IP and IT due diligences and regularly advises on regulatory issues and IT projects.

Special expertise in internet related IP and IT issues, such as big data, machine to machine communication and internet service provider services (giving continued advice to one of Austria’s biggest telecommunication providers and other big companies operating in this field). Experts in advice concerning IP and IT related matters with a focus on cases touching on both fields (e.g. cloud computing and data protection in the internet).
