BADOKH has a ten-strong restructuring and insolvency practice, led by managing partner Petr Kuhn and executive partners Vojtech Mlynar and Katerina Grundmanova. All partners in the restructuring and insolvency group have past experience working for international law firms, and have practised for nearly 20 years on average. BADOKH has great experience particularly in high-profile in court insolvencies and reorganisations as well as out of court restructurings, in which it was able to successfully restructure companies and holdings avoiding the insolvency proceedings altogether. BADOKH regularly represents all kinds of stakeholders including debtors, creditors as well as shareholders and investors creating tailor made strategies for each case. BADOKH’s experience regularly proves valuable in landmark insolvencies such as reorganisation of Arca Investments, reorganisations of major local hard coal producers OKD, large local manufacturing conglomerate VITKOVICE and real estate company L88 (an owner of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty facilities in the Czech Republic). One of BADOKH’s key areas of focus is assisting clients in avoiding formal court restructuring by facilitating timely and strategic negotiations with creditors. The firm has recently demonstrated notable success in this area, particularly in advising several clients from the automotive sector on out-of-court solutions.
