The A&L Goodbody Professional Negligence Litigation Department is primarily known for its extensive experience in both prosecuting and defending professional negligence actions across several industry sectors. Those sectors including acting for Banks (and financial institutions), financial advisors, corporates, contractors and pension advisers.

Examples include within insolvency or banking matters and within construction and engineering matters. In the latter the Department advises employers, design and build contractors and subcontractors, architects, engineers and other design professionals in professional negligence claims.
The Department also advises in a range of high value design and manufacturing cases and in the most significant financial professional negligence cases in Northern Ireland.
