A&L Goodbody’s Finance Department is a market leader in Ireland having played a defining role in the transformational change of the Irish banking sector over the last decade. Our team is the largest in Ireland with more than 45 lawyers, including 17 partners, in our Dublin, London, Belfast and New York offices. Our finance practice encompasses five key areas and our lawyers deliver a seamless and integrated approach across all of these areas to advise on and deliver a full range of domestic and international finance transactions.

The current market conditions often require the Group to give innovative and sophisticated advice on complex debt restructuring, refinancing and enforcement. The firm’s 4 partner Restructuring and Insolvency team works closely with the finance team to deliver practical, commercial results for our clients.

The firm's market leading Legal Project Management Group, works very closely with the Finance team in relation to efficient, cost effective and on-time delivery of client mandates.

The Group advises all of the significant domestic Irish and Northern Irish banks, NAMA, many of the world's international banks, leading financial institutions and major corporates active in Ireland on a wide range of issues.

A&L Goodbody's outstanding finance practice is capable of assisting multinational and domestic banks with the full spectrum of banking and DCM mandates. On the DCM side, the law firm represents both issuers and underwriters in note issuances as well as asset-backed securitisations and RMBS transactions. The law firm has a standout asset finance team which is adept at handling warehouse facilities and PDP financing deals for clients in the aviation sector.
