The department has built a strong reputation for advising local and international clients on high-value, multi-disciplinary matters that require a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, and commercial risk.

The department has well-established expertise across key sectors of the Botswana economy, including banking and financial services, mining and energy, infrastructure and construction, hospitality and tourism, healthcare, agriculture, education, transport, telecommunications, retail, and financial technology (fintech). In particular, the team is recognized for its strong footprint in mining and energy, where it provides end-to-end legal support across the lifecycle of projects, from exploration and feasibility to construction, operations, expansion, and exit. The department also has significant experience advising financial institutions and investors on structured finance, project finance, Public Private Partnerships (PPPs), and capital markets transactions.
