Career

Mercedes is an Associate Partner in the Corporate Law and Capital Markets practice at EY Law Peru practice. She has more than 23 years of experience providing legal and regulatory advice, with emphasis on national and international financing, securities market transactions, project financing, public and private securities offering processes and asset securitization processes.

She has also provided advice on the incorporation of brokers, fund administrators and insurance companies. In addition, Mercedes provides advice to issuers of securities or entities authorized by the Superintendence of the Securities Market regarding their obligations and in eventual sanctioning proceedings.

Mercedes holds a law degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú - PUCP, a Master's Degree in Law from Columbia University Law School (USA), as well as a Diploma in Foundations of American Law from Georgetown University School of Law (USA). She is also a professor at the Stock Market Workshop and a member of the Board of Directors of the Master's Degree in Banking and Finance at PUCP.
