Head of Skadden's Palo Alto litigation practice and co-head of the firm’s West Coast litigation practice, Jack DiCanio is a trial lawyer focusing on complex business litigation, regulatory actions and internal investigations. Recent matters include representing: Snap in in a DOJ/SEC investigation, Chipotle in a DOJ /FDA investigation, a defendant in the "Varsity Blues" college admissions case, Fujian Jinhua in a high-profile economic espionage case, and the National Hockey League in a concussion-related action. In recent years, he also has secured the dismissal of several class actions against the National Football League, successfully defended FedEx in connection with a federal criminal indictment, secured the dismissal of separate securities class actions for the Sempra Energy Board arising out of a natural gas leak and successfully represented current and former directors/officers of the Walt Disney Company in a shareholder derivative action.
