Six firms lead Chambers Brazil’s latest rankings

Industries and Sectors rankings highlight full-service powerhouses in Brazil

Our complete figures for 2021 are yet to be released, but our latest rankings already bring some insightful information on the legal market in Brazil. From a total of 102 ranked firms in 14 practice areas covered by Chambers Brazil: Industries and Sectors, only six firms feature in five or more rankings.

The result follows three months of in-depth interviews with some of Brazil's most important users of legal services combined with the analysis of 455 submissions and systematic peer assessment, which are the key elements of Chambers and Partners methodology.

A data-driven platform spotlights the best performing law firms

The data, provided by Chambers Business Intelligence which is available to all subscribers of the platform, higlights that Mattos Filho and Pinheiro Neto lead the charge. Mattos Filho features in all but two of the ranking tables released on 15 July and available on our website and is the firm with the highest number of rankings in this section (one of three parts of Chambers Brazil's rankings). Mattos Filho also has the highest number of lawyers ranked: 26 in total.  

Pinheiro Neto has the highest number of Band 1 rankings for both lawyers (5) and departments (5). It comes second in the total number of departments ranked (9) and numbers of ranked lawyers (20).

Veirano (8), TozziniFreire (7), Demarest (6) and Machado Meyer (5) also feature in multiple rankings.
