Department rankings for International & Cross-Border Capabilities in Chambers Global 2022
This year's edition of Chambers Global: International & Cross-Border Capabilities (I&CBC) features 1,018 legal department rankings, and 372 firms ranked within 23 separate areas of law.
The guide includes coverage for jurisdictions across the world, with extensive coverage across 39 countries.

Baker McKenzie has the highest number of department rankings in the guide, boasting 40 department rankings across various I&CBC sections in the 2022 iteration. These imposing figures reflect the firm's exceptionally broad and established offering globally, both in terms of its full-service law capabilities and its on-the-ground presence in a wide range of markets.
The law firm's long-standing model of opening joint ventures with local firms combined with its longstanding tie-ups with associated firms in restricted markets, has allowed the firm to establish this impressively vast network.
In second place, established UK-headquartered firm DLA Piper LLP also performs strongly this year with an impressive 31 department rankings, showing especially strong rankings coverage in EMEA.
This is followed closely by the law firm, Allen & Overy LLP with 28 department rankings.
Hogan Lovells attain 27 department rankings and the firm Linklaters with 65 department rankings.
Naturally, international law firms tend to dominate the top of this chart due to their more extensive office networks.
